Product Info

The stock gauge cluster of the Honda S2000  glows orange as a result of incandescent bulbs and filters. Using the stock bulbs system, it is impossible to change the color of the instrumentation to a non-orange base color using filters alone.

The LED gauge cluster conversion uses a combination of pure white LEDs and professional lighting industry color filters to allow you to change the color of the instrument cluster without limitation.

This is not a simple bulb swap solution, but a full array of 100+ LEDs.  This eliminates the uneven brightness issues inherent with bulb swaps solutions.

Installation Options

There are 3 ways to get your LED gauge cluster installed…

1) The Do-It-Yourself version is the best choice for the enthusiast who enjoys the hands-on approach to modifying their vehicle or who just want to save a little money.  You will receive all the parts necessary to do the conversion yourself and do not need to send anything to us either before or after the install.

The AP1 Do-It-Yourself kit requires modification of your plastic gauge cluster housing using a rotary tool (Dremel) and simple soldering of one wire. Please review the AP1 Do It Yourself Kit Installation Instructions to make sure you are comfortable with the installation procedure before ordering this product.

2) The Send Your Core version is the best option if you would like us to do the gauge cluster modification and can spare a week or two of downtime with your vehicle.  This process begins with you sending your unmodified gauge cluster to us. The gauge cluster will then be sent back to you once modified to your order specifications. The installation process for the modified cluster is fairly simple and requires only some basic tools. There are no parts to return after your installation is complete.

Because you are using your own core for this process, there is no need to wait for one of our cores to become available (no waitlist).

The gauge cluster computer, which keeps track of your vehicles mileage, is not exchanged as part of the send your core process, so you will retain your vehicle’s correct odometer reading.

3) The Core Exchange version is the best option if you would like us to do the gauge cluster modification but cannot have any downtime with your vehicle.  This process begins with us sending a modified gauge cluster to you. Once you receive the modified cluster, you transfer your gauge cluster computer over, and reinstall in your vehicle. Finish the process by sending back your original parts.  The installation process for the modified cluster is fairly simple and requires only some basic tools. Because you are using one of our cores for this process, there core exchange deposit fee of $500, that will be fully refunded to you as long as your original parts are in fair condition.

The gauge cluster computer, which keeps track of your vehicles mileage, is not exchanged as part of the core exchange process, so you will retain your vehicle’s correct odometer reading.

The clear front face, including the +, – , SEL and TRIP buttons, as well as the glass LCD piece behind it are also not exchanged as part of the core exchange process, so your parts will be in the same condition as what you already have.

Alternate Color Templates in a standard color configuration generally ship 2-3 days after your order is placed. All other products are made to order and can take up to 7-10 days to ship.

If one of our products malfunctions for any reason, aside from physical damage, within 6 months of purchase, it will be immediately taken care of at no cost to you.  Simply send it back and it will be either fixed or replaced and returned to you as soon as humanly possible along with a full reimbursement for your shipping costs.
